Please note that consular services are by appointment only.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Consulate (Consulate.HGA@mfa.gov.hu).
Please note that Hungarian is the official language of Hungary. Although the Consulate staff will be happy to assist you in English, the Hungarian authorities will only accept forms completed in Hungarian. We therefore request that all forms are completed in Hungarian.
Please download and complete (but do not sign) all the necessary documents before coming to the Consulate. If you fail to prepare your application properly, you may be advised to make a new appointment and return later.
Please note that we do not accept cash when paying consular fees.
Please note that in most cases the Consulate only receives the applications and forwards them to the relevant Hungarian authority, therefore the Consulate cannot expedite the procedures. If you wish to receive an update on your case, please contact the relevant Hungarian authority directly.
You will be informed of the outcome of the procedure by e-mail or by post.
Pick up time (without prior appointment) for passports or other documents is on
Wednesdays between 14:00 - 16:00 and
on Fridays between 10am and 12 noon.
