Consular services, including emergency travel documents, documentary and notarial services are carried out at our Consulate in The Hague.

Monday 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm
Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday: 9:00 am – 12:00 am
The Consulate is closed on Hungarian and Dutch public holidays.
Note: Our lines are generally very busy during the day. In case your call is not answered, please send us an e-mail to consulate.hga@mfa.gov.hu with your phone number and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.
Regardless of the type of consular services, applicants are only received with an appointment booked in advance.
The entry of applicants failing to meet the above requirements will be denied. Thank you for your understanding.
There is no fast-track procedure at the Consulate. The expected length of the proceedings can be found on the website but this is for information only.
Appointments:
Currently, all our services, including the collection of documents, are subject to prior appointment. To schedule an appointment, please visit our page "Schedule an Appointment".
One person may book one appointment only for a consular service. If you book more appointments for the same consular service all of the appointments might be cancelled by the Consulate without prior notice.
Please make sure that you arrive on time for your appointment. In case you can not come for your appointment you should cancel it in advance.
Please download and fill in (but please do not sign) all the required documents before coming to the Consulate. If you fail to prepare your application properly you might be advised to book a new appointment and come back later.
Due to high number of applications we can not tolerate delays, therefore we ask you to arrive on time to your appointment. In case of delay you might be asked to book a new appointment and come back later
Fees:
Payment of the fee is the basic requirement of consular procedures. If you do not pay for the consular service at the time of application the procedure can not be started and you shall be asked to book a new appointment.

Please note that our Consulate is a cashless office. This means that all consular fees need to be paid by debit card accepted in The Netherlands.
„Pick-up” hours:
Once the requested documents are ready for pick-up the applicants are in a message. Having received the notification Clients may collect their documents on Wednesdays between 2 pm - 4 pm and on Fridays between 10 am - 12 am without priorly booked appointment at the Concular Office.
Clients must prove their identity with a valid photographic ID upon receiving their documents. In case of receiving other persons’ or minors’ documents, a valid authorization form (form- english) of the authorisers’ must be presented as well as his/her copy of photographic identification document.
Urgent assistance outside opening hours:
If you need urgent help on weekdays after 16.30, on Fridays after 14.00 and during weekends or holidays (for example when you became a victim of a crime or someone was arrested or died, in case of an unlikely event like an environmental disaster, etc.), call the following numbers: from Hungary 06-80-36-80-36, from abroad/from the Netherlands +36-80-36-80-36.
