A Hungarian delegation of four young musicians participated at the Huygens Festival in Leidschendam-Voorburg between 21 – 24 September 2023. The delegation arrived from Szeged and Budapest and performed two times during the festival.
At the opening concert on 21 September in the Old Church in Voorburg, they performed beautiful instrumental pieces on the cello, violin and harp. Ambassador András Kocsis was also present at the event welcoming the Hungarian participants in his speech and praised the organisation of the festival for focusing on music as universal language.
After the the opening concert, the young talents from Hungary together with music other ensembles from the Netherlands, Flanders, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia participated in a masterclasse programme to prepare for a joint international performance at the closing concert of the festival on 24 September.
The Hungarian participation at the Huygens Festival was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
