It is our pleasure to announce that on the occassion of the national day of Hungary, 20 August, the President of Hungary H.E. János Áder awarded  
 
Gábor Dzsingisz, former State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Fisheries of the Kingdom of Netherlands, former mayor of Haaksbergen, member of the board of the Barankovics Foundation, former agricultural attaché of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Budapest; in recognition of his work to develop Hungarian agriculture and to strengthen the reputation of Hungary abroad, the Commander’s Cross with the Star of the Hungarian Order of Merit.
 
Péter Kovács, Doctor of Science, judge of the International Criminal Court, research professor of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, former member of the Constitutional Court; in recognition of his achievements in the field of jurisprudence, especially in international law, human rights, protection of minorities and international criminal law, and for his outstanding research and academic activities, the Commander’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit;
 
Bernard Bot, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, partner at Meines & Holla; in recognition of his work to further the Hungarian-Dutch bilateral relations and to contribute to the commemoration of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, the Commander’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit;
 
Zsolt Szabó, Vice President of Capgemini The Netherlands B.V., member of the advisory board of the Hungarian Business Network; in recognition of his work to strengthen the reputation of Hungary in the Netherlands and his achievements in supporting the successful activities of Hungarian companies in the Netherlands, the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit;
 
Ákos Urbán, President of the Hungarian Federation in the Netherlands, secretary of the Western European Association of the Hungarian Country Organizations; in recognition of his outstanding achievements in assembling the Hungarian community in the Netherlands, the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit;
 
Lajos Nagy, fencing coach, the founder of the Pallós Fencing Club, naturopath; in recognition of his work in promoting the Hungarian fencing traditions, the Golden Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit.
