We are delighted to announce that on the occasion of the national day of Hungary, 20 August 2022, the President of Hungary, H.E. Katalin Novák has awarded

Geert Wilders, member of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, chairman of Party for Freedom,
in recognition of his consistent support for Hungary, as well as his activities to stop illegal migration,
the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary;

Dr. Gyula Vancsó physicist, external member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Professor and Chairholder of Materials Science and Technology of Polymers at the University of Twente,
in recognition of his outstanding research work, as well as his multi-decennial activities to strengthen the good reputation of Hungarian science abroad and utilize international experiences in Hungary,
the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary;

Péter Szautner, CEO of FrieslandCampina Hungária,
in recognition of his successful work as CEO contributing to the Hungarian economic growth,
the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary;

Henk Jan van Schothorst, executive director of the Christian Council International,
in recognition of his support for Hungary, as well as his untiring work to promote Hungarian family policy in the Netherlands and protect Europe’s Judeo-Christian heritage,
the Gold Cross of Merit of Hungary.
