We are delighted to announce that on the occasion of the national day of Hungary, 15 March, the President of Hungary H.E. János Áder has awarded

Sándor Baja, CEO of Randstad Hungary; in recognition of his contribution to the growth of the Hungary economy and his successful work as CEO,
the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary.

Gyula Véber, professor emeritus of the Utrecht University; in recognition of his activities during the 1956 revolution, his diverse social and charity work to promote Hungarian-Dutch scientific and cultural relations, and his exemplary life,
the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary.

Bort Koelewijn, mayor of Kampen; in recognition of his work to promote Hungarian-Dutch relations through strengthening the sister city bonds between Pápa and Kampen,
the Gold Cross of Merit of Hungary.

Leni Bakker, former volunteer at the Children’s Village Foundation, founding member of Stichting Haaksbergen-Hongarije; in recognition of her decades-long unselfish work to support the needy in Hungary, especially the orphaned and disadvantaged children,
the Gold Cross of Merit of Hungary.
