It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Prof András Gergely, Hungary’s former ambassador in The Hague (1999-2002).
Prof Gergely was an outstanding historian who also played a pivotal role in setting up the new Hungarian foreign service in the early 90s.
May he rest in peace.
