On 8 June 2023, the official opening of the ‘Petőfi200’ exhibition focusing on the biography and poetic quotes of the Hungarian poet Sándor Petőfi took place at the Bibliotheek Leidschenveen (Leidschenveen Library).

After the welcoming words of Ilse Menkhorst on behalf of the management team of the library, Ambassador András Kocsis has delivered his remarks and opened the exhibition to the public.

Following the official opening, a lecture has been given by Orsolya Réthelyi, vice-dean of the Faculty of Humanities at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and head of Department of Netherlandic Studies detailing the poet’s oeuvre and its recension in the Netherlands.

The exhibition is free end will be on display till 30 June 2023 during opening hours at Bibliotheek Leidschenveen.
