On 23 July 2021, Hugo de Jonge, Dutch Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport and Tamás Menczer, Hungarian State Secretary for information and the international representation of Hungary held a videoconference to exchange views and best practices on the current coronavirus situation.

They confirmed that the two countries are fighting the virus side by side and agreed that the best way in this is to increase the vaccination rate of the population. Minister de Jonge commended the success of the Hungarian vaccination programme.

State Secretary Menczer stated that travelling to Hungary is possible with the EU digital COVID pass. 
Minister de Jonge and State Secretary Menczer agreed to establish an expert working group in order to share the best practices in relation with the pandemic itself and especially with vaccines used by our two countries.
