The international masterclass weekend 'Music education according to the Kodály concept', which will take place at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague on 18 and 19 November 2017, is now open for registration.
In the masterclass weekend, which is part of the Zoltán Kodály Festival that celebrates the 135th birth anniversary of the famous Hungarian composer and music pedagogue, there will be a special focus on the Colourstrings method. Professor Géza Szilvay, founder of the Colourstrings method, will be teaching a total of six classes during the weekend. There will also be workshops in musicianship, classroom teaching and the studying and performance of Kodály’s choral repertoire and pedagogical works.
Another new element in this edition of the masterclass weekend, organised by ’Muziek als Vak’ are the workshops in Kokas pedagogy for music teaching.
The masterclass weekend is targeted at musicians and everyone who is interested in music education.
The concerts of the Kodály Festival, which take place on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon on different locations in The Hague, are included in the masterclass ticket.
For both the concerts and masterclasses, a delegation of musicians and professors from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, is coming to The Hague.
