Between 23-27 November 2022, the Eastern Neighbours Film Festival took place for the 14th time in The Hague. During the festival, the Hungarian documentary film ’Paying visit to Fortuna’ directed by Mátyás Kálmán was screened on two occasions. The festival presents the latest films from lesser-known Eastern and Southeastern European countries showcasing their powerful film industries with the aim to introduce them to the Dutch and international audience. The Hungarian film screenings were attended by a large number of audience and the Embassy staff as well followed by a Q&A providing the opportunity for questions about the background of the film. The premiere was complemented by Hungarian wine tasting. Our Embassy made a contribution to the organisation of the screenings with the cooperation of the Department of Cultural and Scientific Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
