The sixth edition of the Embassy Festival took place in The Hague on 31 August and 1 September. Over 60 countries participated in the festival on the Lange Voorhout.

Hungary was represented with great music and delicacies. The band Ethnofil impressed the audience on the Contemporary Stage on Saturday afternoon. Their music is categorized as ’world music from another universe’ and the band is well known within the Budapest music scene.

The number of Hungarian stalls in the International Market was greater than ever. Hungarian dishes, sausages and wine were sold by the three companies; the Hungarian Corner, Lekkers uit Hongarije and Hágai Magyar Bolt. A fourth stall was manned by the Dutch-Hungarian magazine Most Magyarul!.

Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Hungary in The Hague, Krisztina Varga, welcomed the band Ethnofil backstage and the Hungarian businesses on the International Market. She also congratulated them on their great presence and performance.

The Embassy Festival welcomes over 50.000 visitors each year.
