On October 29, 2021, Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, hosted the leaders of major Dutch companies active in Hungary. Among others, Désirée Bonis, the new Ambassador of the Netherlands to Hungary and András Kocsis, the Ambassador of Hungary to the Netherlands have attended the event.

During the informal table-talk, the guests discussed what plans the represented companies have, what challenges they will have to face after COVID and what the Hungarian government can offer. Minister Szijjártó emphasized that Hungary has one of the most competitive investment environments in Central Europe.

The Netherlands is the ninth largest capital investor in Hungary. Hundreds of companies with a Dutch background are active and successful in our country and they are constantly expanding their activities. The Minister also emphasized that providing an attractive, reliable and predictable business environment for foreign companies remains a priority for the Hungarian government.
