During his visit to Eindhoven on June 17, 2024, Ambassador Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck had the opportunity to engage in fruitful discussions with representatives from Brainport Development, the Battery Competence Cluster (BCC), the VDL Innovation Center, and the DAF truck factory. He also had the unique experience of sitting in a huge DAF truck cockpit. The meetings provided an excellent platform to learn more about Brainport’s ecosystem and showcase the advancements of the Hungarian automotive and battery industries. Both VDL and DAF manufacturers, along with BCC, expressed their enthusiasm about sourcing batteries from Europe, particularly Hungary. This move not only reduces emissions due to shorter transport routes but also enhances the safety of the supply chain.
