On 10 October, Ambassador Mr András Kocsis, paid a courtesy visit to Eurojust. Accompanied by Mr Péter István Danku, Consul and Third Secretary to the Embassy of Hungary, Ambassador Kocsis met with the President of Eurojust, Ms Michèle Coninsx, and the National Member for Hungary, Mr László Venczl. Eurojust’s role in fighting organised crime was discussed, with special attention paid to Eurojust’s involvement in combatting the illegal immigrant smuggling occurring in the Hungarian section of the so-called Balkan-route, which is used by Syrian migrants to enter the European Union. The Ambassador then met with Mr Venczl and the members of the Hungarian Desk.
