On 18 November 2021, Ambassador Kocsis visited the newly opened patisserie and lunchroom Lady Lavender in the city of Mook, Gelderland. A Hungarian family-run business. Daughter Dominika Sasvari and mother Ildi Sasvari, both experienced in hospitality, in and outside the kitchen, wanted to take the next step after running an online webshop in sweets the past two years. Their venture is the first lunchroom in Mook and will sell and serve Hungarian delicacies like Esterhazy cake with whipped cream and walnuts, Dobos cake with chocolate and caramel and of course goulash soup.

The ladies Sasvari emigrated from Hungary to the Netherlands ten years ago and are involving the whole family. Their Hungarian roots can be tasted and seen in everything, even in the furniture that was specially created by Dominika's uncle and imported from Hungary.

During his visit the Ambassador was lucky enough to have a taste of this new asset to Mook. We wish mother and daughter, and the whole family, the best of luck with the beautiful Lady Lavender.
