On 2 July 2021, Ambassador Kocsis gave an interview in the Family7 news show Uitgelicht! The Ambassador responded to the general criticism on the new Hungarian legislation for the protection of children.
He presented in detail the content of the law and the related government intent, underlining that the law is not in conflict with the EU core values. The law severely punishes pedophiles and protects our children. It does not affect the self-expression of individuals in any way. In Hungary, adults can decide for themselves how they live their lives.
The Ambassador stressed that Hungary will continue to fight for the protection of Christian values and will continue to feel at home in the EU.
