On 6 May 2024, Ambassador Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck paid a courtesy visit to Kairat Abdrakhmanov, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, who considers the cooperation of the Office of the High Commissioner on National Minorities and Hungary to be exemplary. During a fruitful discussion, the interlocutors reviewed current issues regarding national minorities.

New information board for the Árpád Weisz memorial in Dordrecht

At the initiative of the residents of Dordrecht, an information board about Árpád Weisz was placed on the promenade in Weizigtpark, which was ceremonially handed over on 3 May 2024. Our embassy was represented by diplomat Attila Szabó who laid flowers at the memorial of the former Hungarian national team player and international football coach.

Michiel de Ruyter commemoration in Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam

On 20 April 2024, Ambassador Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck participated in the yearly Michiel de Ruyter commemoration at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam. The ambassador gave a welcoming speech in Dutch language and laid a wreath at the grave of the admiral located in the crypt of the church.

Ambassador Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck, the new Hungarian Permanent Representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague, presented his credentials to the Director General of the OPCW, Fernando Arias, on 15 April 2024. At the meeting following the handover ceremony, the interlocutors reviewed the current issues on the OPCW agenda and the main challenges facing the Organisation.

On 13 March 2024, H.E. Ambassador Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck presented his credentials to H.M. King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. During the ceremony at the Noordeinde Palace in The Hague, the Ambassador had a unique opportunity to talk to the Dutch monarch stressing the interest in further developing and deepening the bilateral relations between our countries.
