Advent Concert in The Hague 8 December 2024

The 10th anniversary of the Hungarian Choir of The Hague and the successful Hungarian EU Presidency in The Hague was celebrated with a successful Advent Concert and performances by outstanding musicians. For this unforgettable musical experience, we would like to thank Katalin Kovács, founder and artistic director of the Choir, Szilveszter Bornai, current choirmaster, Máté Lachegyi, organist, as well as the excellent soloists and all the members of the choir.

Presentation of the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary to Lídia van Driel Gesztelyi

Lídia Mária Van Driel Gesztelyi is an astronomer, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Emeritus Scientific Advisor of the Konkoly Thege Miklós Institute of Astronomy of the HUN-REN Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences, Professor Emeritus of the Mullard Space Science Laboratory of University College London, who has been doing exemplary and outstanding research for many decades.

Hungary's Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó visited The Hague

On 19 November 2024 Hungary's Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó visited The Hague where he had talks with his Dutch counterparts, Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp and Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Reinette Klever on improving bilateral relations and current foreign and trade policy issues. Minister Szijjártó also met with Geert Wilders, President of the Dutch Freedom Party and he was interviewed by RTL News.

Hungarians in The Hague remembered the Hungarian State Foundation Day and St. Stephen with an uplifting ecumenical service and a fantastic concert by the Szentegyháza/Vlăhiţa Children's Philharmonic (Fili), a renowned Hungarian choir and orchestra from Transylvania, Romania.

Ambassador visit to KLM

As the newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary to the Netherlands, Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck is conducting introductory visits with the leaders of prominent Dutch companies, particularly those with significant activities or subsidiaries in Hungary. Among these, KLM was one of the first to be visited by him.

Successful Hungarian Participation at PLMA 2024 'World of Private Label' International Trade Fair in Amsterdam

On 28-29 May 2024, the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre hosted the prestigious PLMA exhibition, featuring 2,960 exhibitors from 73 countries. This year, 40 Hungarian companies showcased their products, with 22 at the national stand of the Agricultural Marketing Centre (AMC) and 18 as independent exhibitors.

New information board for the Árpád Weisz memorial in Dordrecht

At the initiative of the residents of Dordrecht, an information board about Árpád Weisz was placed on the promenade in Weizigtpark, which was ceremonially handed over on 3 May 2024. Our embassy was represented by diplomat Attila Szabó who laid flowers at the memorial of the former Hungarian national team player and international football coach.
