We had excellent introductory meetings with Mayor Roelien Kamminga, King’s Commissioner René Paas, and Prof. dr. Jouke de Vries, President of the University of Groningen Board.
Key discussions included the high potential for a direct flight between Groningen and Budapest with the team at Groningen Airport Eelde, and a warm meeting with the passionate founders of the Hungarian Weekend School in Groningen, who reported on the great success of their first session. Seeing the community thrive is always inspiring!
It was an honor to gain first-hand insight into the plans of the city, provincial, and institutional leaders, and to map out potential cooperation possibilities across the region.
