During his visit to the Netherlands on 14 March 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó held bilateral talks with Kairat Abdrakhmanov, High Commissioner on National Minorities of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), on the situation of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine. During his visit, Minister Szijjártó met with Fernando Arias, Director-General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Following the meeting, the Minister underlined the importance of the OPCW, especially in view of the war in Ukraine and its global consequences. While in The Hague, Mr Szijjártó held talks with Dutch politician Geert Wilders, leader of the Freedom Party, and gave an interview to one of the most watched political programmes, NOS Nieuwsuur.
