On 1 July, Ambassador Kocsis visited the province of Zeeland. At the Provinciehuis of Middelburg the Ambassador met with the Commissioner of the King Han Polman. In the city of Vlissingen the Ambassador had a meeting with the Mayor of Vlissingen Bas van den Tillaar.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the economic, cultural and historic ties between Hungary and Zeeland. Admiral Michiel de Ruyter who was born in the city of Vlissingen also played an important role in the history of Hungary. Both Vlissingen and the Hungarian city of Debrecen still have a statue to honour the Admiral.
